Dag 187 - Teaming up with Max!

Strosade runt med en görskön australiensare från hostellet idag, Max. Tillsammans hade vi en helt förträfflig dag i New York. Vi började med att bege oss från Brooklyn in mot Times Square, hjärtat av denna stad som sägs vara världens centrum. Efter att ha strosat runt bland kopiösa mängder gula taxibilar och billboards, traskade vi bort mot Central Park. Väl där kollade vi på lite halvseriösa baseballmatcher, innan vi la oss ner på en gigantisk gräsplätt och njöt av solskenet tillsammans med ett par tusen andra människor.

Vi gjorde ett försök att ta oss ut med båtarna för att se Frihetsgudinnan i solnedgången, men blev lite sena och missade båtar och solnedgång. Istället åkte vi in mot Manhattans centrum och åkte upp i Empire State Building - fick en del schyssta nattbilder! På vägen hem strosade vi förbi Times Square, nu badandes i ett hav av neon, men fortfarande lika livlig. Det man har hört tycks vara sant - den här staden sover aldrig!
